In the final New Game+ cycle, a secret cutscene shows the protagonist (Ace) looking at the player and whispering, “You’ve seen enough. Let us rest.” The official translation changed this to a more optimistic line, missing the point that Type-0 is a critique of the player’s voyeurism. The V2 patch respects the creators’ bleak vision.
