The story begins on Earth with (played by Arya), a mathematics lecturer who is initially reluctant to marry because he spends all his time caring for his disabled father. Ramya (played by Anushka Shetty), a medical student, falls for him and eventually wins his heart. However, tragedy strikes when Ramya dies in a freak accident, followed shortly by the death of Madhu's father. Devastated and suicidal, Madhu drives his car toward a hilltop in Goa, where a mystical portal opens, transporting him to an alternate universe. The Fantasy World (Second World)
