Sean Anderson receives a coded distress signal from a mysterious island—a place believed to be a myth from Jules Verne’s novels ( The Mysterious Island , Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea , and Robinson Crusoe ). He and his stepfather, Hank (Johnson), travel to the South Pacific. They hire a helicopter pilot (Guzmán) and his daughter (Hudgens) to fly them there. When a storm forces them to crash-land, they discover an island where dinosaurs roam, mountains are made of gold, and small animals have grown to enormous sizes.
