Luganda is a widely spoken language in Uganda, with over 5 million speakers. However, despite its popularity, Luganda has historically been underrepresented in the Ugandan film industry. Most movies produced in Uganda are in English, which can be a barrier for many Luganda speakers who may not be fluent in the language. This gap in the market is what VJ Junior sought to address by providing free translated movies in Luganda.
