A leisurely 2-3 weeks
Ivan stared at the screen. No laptops? He looked at his briefcase, which he affectionately called his “third lung.” He looked at the half-finished spreadsheet for the grape harvest projections. He looked back at the text.
People and rhythms What surprised me most was how quickly the rhythm of the place becomes yours. Days were punctuated by small, human things: the bakery’s bell, children’s laughter ricocheting off stone, fishermen unfurling nets, a woman sweeping her doorstep with practiced attention. Conversations are easy and unhurried; strangers trade stories like old friends, and a few slow evenings dissolved into music—an accordion here, a guitar there—songs that sounded older than anyone present.
5/5 Grandfathers. Highly recommended for the weary, the burned-out, and the curious.
The Beautiful City of Moscow (and surrounding areas)
The film continues the journey of Ivan and Deshka, a couple whose bickering and rural eccentricity have become a cultural phenomenon in Bulgaria. In this installment, the stakes are raised as the duo embarks on a vacation that quickly spirals into a series of absurd misunderstandings, physical comedy set pieces, and the signature "thick" humor that fans have come to expect.
